I have been selling art at conventions in Canada as a freelancer since 2018.
I mostly make fanart, but I also like to design original characters.I have started to take in commissions so if you are interested, please take a look! (＾▽＾)

COMMISSION TYPES

Prices are in USD
Price is subject to change depending on the complexity• Headshot/Bust-up 70$
• Waist-up/Thighs-up 105$
• Full body 130$
• Custom OC of my design 130$+• Payment must be paid 100% beforehand. There is an option for a half and half payment, but only if your commission is 400$+

Additional fees• Simple Backgrounds +15$ (or it will be a solid color)
• Accessories/ extra features +10$
• Weapon/ Props +20$
• Pet/ add-ons +20$
• Extra facial expression for the same character +15$ per expression
• Rush fee 50$+• The client will have 3 free revisions (changes), plus 1 on the base color; Other than that, there will be a charge (+10$ per change)• I, the artist, am allowed to post all personal work online. If you don't want me to post the artwork on social media, there is a +20$ fee.
For commercial artwork, the client can determine if I can post the work or not.

Price does not include commercial rights. More informations in terms of services down below.

How to prepare your references

  • Written description is okay but it will really make it a faster process for me if you have a clear idea of what you want.

  • Eye color(s), Hair color and hairstyle, Age and height, Type of clothing (upper body and lower body), Shoes, socks, and other accessories.

  • For those who already have a VISUAL reference of the character, you can just send me the pictures directly via email.

  • Please provide me with the pose and facial expression you want the character to have. For poses please include VISUAL references if you have a specific idea, or else you can just describe it to me.

  • If you wish for me to freestyle the character, please provide the character’s personality and I will choose the most perfect pose and facial expression that I think is suitable for your character.

  • Please note that you CAN’T ask for another pose if you want me to freestyle. If you have a specific pose in mind then please tell me so beforehand.

  • Be as detailed as you can! Please include pictures or any type of visual aid that could help with the specific details like hairstyle or clothing style. For further information, feel free to consult with me.

Commercial RIGHTS & FEES

Commercial use of the artwork must be agreed upon beforehand by the commissioner. However, clients can come back and purchase the rights for digital or merchandise if they wish to do so. Also, Commercial commissions will be prioritized before personal use commissions.

  • Personal No change in price :

  • For personal use, profile pictures, gifts for friends. The recipient can't use the art for commercial, promotional purposes!!

  • x1.5 for Design commercial use (The total art(s) price x 1.5 ) :

  • Usage of concept design made by me (original or upgraded from a previous drawn character) that will be used to make 3d model, and/or other digital assets.

  • x2 for Digital commercial use (The total art(s) price x 2) :

  • Suitable for any commercial use as long as it's digital. Examples: Promotional material (Promotional art, visual key for any commercial project), Cover Art ( Digital Music album, comic, Light novel,...), Game asset (sprites, CG, character design,...), Streaming graphics (Schedule, loading screen, social media, Banner,...), Video graphic (Youtube music video,...)

  • x3 Merchandise commercial use (The total art(s) price x 3) :

  • The artwork or concept design will be made into actual Merchandise! Examples: (body pillow, postcard, poster, printed matters, etc.) Used for both digital and physical merchandise.

• I, the artist have the right to use the work for my portfolio (with watermark and lower quality).• Clients cannot claim ownership of the artwork meaning claiming yourself as the illustrator of the work I drew.Disclaimer: For any future PHYSICAL merchandise creation. If clients were to make merch out of my concept design (both original or upgrade from a previous drawn model), the client would need to purchase the x3 merchandise commercial fee for the original concept design, and THEN you can order from other artists to reproduce the design as merch.For agencies, all purchases will be under the x3 merchandise commercial rights fee.Please read the terms of services down below before ordering

PAYMENT

  • All prices are in USD. Please calculate the cost in your respective currency on your own before requesting.

  • Transactions will occur through PayPal. You can either send me your email for an invoice or send the money directly to my PayPal email.

  • The client is responsible for any type of transfer or international fee. This is why friend and family transfer is highly recommended.

  • All transactions must be made UPFRONT starting the commission UNLESS your total is more than 400$, then you can choose to do 50% before the sketch, and 50% after the base color is applied.

  • For all personal commissions, the transaction will be made via friend and family transfer. You will be able to save on the transfer fees.

  • WAITLIST: You can reserve your slot by paying a non-refundable fee of 30$. This fee will be counted towards the final payment, but the fee will not be refunded if you cannot proceed with the transaction.

  • This system is made because I will close my commissions once I have a set amount of orders. If I were to save you a slot, and you don't want it anymore, I could be losing potential clients. So be very sure when you want to purchase a waitlist slot. This 30$ wait slot fee will only be effective for 3 months; you will LOSE your waitlist spot after that period. If you're purchasing a commercial commission piece, the waitlist fee is 60$.

  • Refunds are not accepted. Unless I haven't started on your commission yet.

TERMS OF SERVICES

  1. Commissioned work can only be used for personal use, NOT commercial use, UNLESS the client, pays for the commercial use rights

  2. Even if the clients bought all the rights to my art, they are not allowed to claim my art as their own.

  3. Please do not TRACE, EDIT, RENDER, or REMOVE THE WATERMARKS on any of the artwork. (This includes the client!)

  4. The client must credit me (@naopyart) as the artist, or have a link going back to one of my socials anytime my art is showcased.

  5. I, the artist, am allowed to post all personal work online. If you don't want me to post the artwork on social media, there is a +20$ fee.

  6. I, the artist, have the absolute right to my artwork; this includes posting the work on my socials and adding it as a part of my portfolio. However, I will be posting a watermarked, low-quality version for safety purposes. I have the right to include my artwork in artbooks, editorial projects, and selling prints, (previously commissioned or not) unless I'm informed beforehand. There will be an added fee if the client does not want me to post the work on my social media.

  7. For commercial artwork, the client can determine if I can post the work or not.

  8. I will be prioritizing commissions by first Rushed, then Commercial art, and lastly Personal use.

  9. BY ANY MEANS, DO NOT RUSH ME! (unless you have paid for a rushed fee). Working time can range from 2 weeks to 4 months, depending on the queue.

  10. You can message me to check on how the commission is going every two weeks, not every two days please.

  11. The client will have 3 free revisions (changes) during the sketching process, and one on the base color; Other than that, there will be a charge (+10$ per change).

  12. I have no interest in NFT currently (Non-fungible Token). Please do NOT use my art for any NFT related reasons.

  13. Payment must be paid 100% beforehand. There is an option for a half and half payment, but only if your commission is 400$+

  14. I will send an invoice for the payment and it must be received in full before I start the commission. Partial payment can be discussed. (400$+)
